BN 5464 built from P2K U-28B model. BN 5464 is a former Great
Northern locomotive. Handbrake chain detail not applied yet. "BN is Not
Dead Jim".
Model truck bolsters were milled down .040" to represent
the proper height.
Step wells were modified for GN 4 step version from model's
stock 3 step version. A-Line brass steps were used. Model is waiting for a ESU
Loksound DCC GE U- Boat sound coming soon to be installed.

Model was painted with Scalecoat II BN green and Scalecoat II Black. Microscale BN loco set decals applied. Additional details added are Hi-Tech GE cab, A-Line GE brass step, MV Class Light Lens and rear headlight lens.
U30C's Super Detailed from Atlas models.
BN 5809 built from an Atlas U30C model. BN 5908 was delivered
with a speaker type bell. Prototype unit was RC equipped. This is a
"Master" unit. Model truck bolsters were milled .030" to represent
proper height. As Bones used to say "BN is Not Dead Jim".
Here we see the RC box behind the cab. The box was fabricated
from sheet styrene. These prototype U boat classes were assigned to coal trains
that use radio control rear helpers.
A-Line brass GE steps applied.
BN U30C 5327 non RC equipped.
HI-Tech Details GE cab installed. Nice thin wall cab design.
Nice GE U-Boat profile.
Handbrake truck chain detail not yet applied. Model is
waiting for a ESU Loksound DCC GE U- boat sound decoder coming soon to be
installed.
